Jewel House is our residential facility where the residents are treated with special care to ensure that all their daily needs are met with compassion, insight and sensitivity.
Jewel House was officially opened on 30 October 1988. Errol Kristal initiated the project and it was completed by Gerald Hackner. It continues to offer a home away from home for our most vulnerable community members who deserve and appreciate the special care they receive from professional therapists, nursing staff, counsellors and social workers.
The Home is situated on Durban’s Berea and offers its residents comfortable accommodation in a loving, safe, happy environment. Delicious Kosher meals are cooked onsite and residents are afforded therapy, medical treatment and stimulation on a continual basis.
We would like to emphasise that good quality items are invaluable to us and we gratefully accept donations of clothing, appliances and furniture.
